With the 11.3km length, the Rentvanns/Clear Water tunnel that has been located between Trosterud and Huseby for the NVO (Ny Vannforsyning Oslo/New Water Supply for Oslo), will be excavated using 200 m long, 300 t weight and 7.08 m diameter TBM, that’s FAT was successfully passed. Currently, the TBM is due to be dismantled and shipped to Oslo.
The responsibility of advancing the tunnel contract E6 is up to the Joint Venture AF Ghella, while it also includes access tunnels, pumping station and clean water basins at Trosterud and the tunnel section Oset-Disen (3 km) to be blasted; the laying of pipes in the clean water tunnel, as well as the establishment of a connection to the water distribution network.
