Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro-3 Corridor CSMIA T1 Metro Station’s 36th Breakthrough

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) at CSMIA T1 Metro Station has achieved its 36th breakthrough. T1 is now completed with this 1.5-km-long tunnel from Sahar Road Metro Station to CSMIA. 100% of the 4.4 km tunnelling part of this project has been completed by the two TBMs, Tapi 1 and Tapi 2. (package 6).

Two of the project’s stations are at the domestic and international terminals. Through dedicated connections to airport terminals, both of these stations will be linked to allow seamless connectivity for flyers. The stretch was completed in 15 months by two Terratec Hard Rock TBMs, Tapi-1 and 2. CSMIA T1 Metro Station’s overall progress is around 76.4 percent .

Package-6, which includes Metro stations CSMIA T1, T2 and Sahar Road, saw 4 breakthroughs (CSMIA T2 to Sahar Road (Upline – 687m and downline – 692m), (Sahar Road to CSMIA T11m) (Upline – 1515m and downline – 1512m). Total tunnelling finished in due schedule.
