Following that the construction teams broke through between Face-5 and Face-6 on the 9.2km head race tunnel on November 16, Patel has achieved a breakthrough on the Parnai Hydroelectric Project in India and says the complex geological conditions along the alignment included Class-V rock strata and the presence of the Muree Thrust.
“This milestone is a proud testament to Patel Engineering Ltd’s capability to deliver precision-driven hydroelectric infrastructure even in the toughest terrains,”the company said.
The 37.5MW Parnai Hydroelectric Project’s advantages after completion will be strengthening energy self-sufficiency in Jammu and Kashmir, generating clean power, enhancing irrigation facilities in Tehsil Mendhar, as well as supporting long-term agricultural and socio-economic development in the region.
