Construction of Stad Ship Tunnel – Three bidders submit offers

Following the receipt of the first bids from the contractors, the procurement process for the construction of Norway’s Stad Ship Tunnel has moved a step forward.

The determined deadline for all three prequalified bidders for submitting their offers was the June 10, which are the joint venture of Skanska Norge AS and Vassbakk & Stol AS (Norway); AF Gruppen Norge AS (Norway); and Eiffage Génie Civil (France).

According to Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA) director-general Einar Vik Arset:”Due to competition considerations, we cannot disclose details about prices or other sensitive information. The submitted bids will now be evaluated according to the rules, requirements, and criteria that apply to the tender process. We will provide further information about the next steps once this evaluation has been completed.”

In the case of providing the bids are within the approved cost framework, the scheduled date for concluding the contract by NCA is autumn this year and construction will start next year.
