The process of building the 5.9km Llogara tunnel has officially begun on 14th November.
The tunnel which is on the road between Vlora and Saranda along the southern part of the Albanian Rivera, is scheduled to cost approximately about EUR 155 million (ALL 19 billion).
This project is a long-awaited one, which boosts road safety, cut the distance to the coast and promotes tourism development.
Once completed, by the end of 2024, the tunnel is going to link Saint Eliza Bridge in Dukat with Palasa Bridge on the other side of Llogara.
