Final civils contract awarded for the Grand Paris Express

Société du Grand Paris, Grand Paris Express project promoter has awarded the third and last civil engineering contract for line 16 – between Noisy-Champs and Clichy-Montfermeil station.

A consortium including Sefi-Intrafor, Fayat Metal and Razel-Bec is going to start and handle the work which contains the 5.5km tunnel excavation between Noisy-Champs and the Bel-Air, and the excavation of Chelles station, plus six service structures.

The contract’s value is €325M (£280M) and the work is going to begin this September. It is expected to have the work completed by 2030. When the project is completed, over 200km of new metro routes will be built in Paris.
