
Being located in Florești, near Teilor Station, construction of the TBM launch shaft for the Cluj-Napoca Metro in north-west Romania was commenced by Gülermak has commenced and will accommodate the simultaneous launch of the two TBMs that is due to dig the line’s two parallel tunnels.
With 21km length, the Cluj-Napoca Metro Line is going to run entirely underground and will include 19 underground stations and one above-ground depot.
While Cluj-Napoca is the largest city in Transylvania, this project is slated to be Romania’s first fully-automated metro service.
