The feasibility study process (technical documentation and technical-economic indicators), collected by the Joint Venture SYSTRA, SWS Engineering and Metrans Engineering, in order to finance objective Metropolitan train Gilău-Florești-Cluj-Napoca-Baciu-Apahida-Jucu-Bonțida – stage I of the Cluj metropolitan rapid transport system, Metro Line I and Metropolitan Train, comprising of the link between them and studies relevant to future investment objectives and investment component Metro Line I, was approved by the Cluj-Napoca City Council.
This study bidded the Floresti – Union Square/ Piața Unirii – Marasti Square/ Piața Mărăști – Labor-United Europe/Muncii -Europa Unita – Sopor Depot/ Depou Sopor route with a length of 21.03 km, 19 stations and 1 depot. The predicated total budget for this project is EUR 2,052,196,984 while its time period could be 128 months. The PNRR, POIM, allocations from national and local budgets, as well as the other sources of funding identified along the way, will be investors of this project.
