Breakthrough on the B23 of the Kramer Tunnel

Kramer Tunnel

On October and after 20 months of construction, the JV Kramer tunnel, BeMo tunneling and Subterra, finished boring of the 3.5km Kramer tunnel on the B23.

The excavation was done in the upper cross-section area (dome) and very close to the future ventilation structure at a depth of nearly 95 m – directly under the Kramer plateau.

This tunnel is one of the 5 tunnels which will reduce the traffic for the residents of Loisach river valley: Wank (in project, monotube and 3.5 km-long), Oberau (in construction, twin tube and 3.2 km long), Auerberg (in project, twin tube and 2 km-long) and Farchant (already open for traffic, twin tube and 2.4 long) on the B2.
