The opportunity of visiting first-hand how work is advancing at the future Arden Station in North Melbourne, which is due to inaugurate in 2025, was provided for over a thousand people on Sunday 27 March 2022.
The chance to walk through a section of the project’s 9km twin tunnels before crews commence laying 40km of track in the coming months, as well as getting a unique insight into the complexity of building this massive infrastructure project, being among the first to stand under the huge brick arches that will be a new landmark for the future Arden precinct, were the benefits of this journey for visitors.
Despite the avid for hosting more people, tickets for this event were limited and sold out very quickly. In order to keep everyone safe and ensure taking too much time out from the most important work in building the Metro Tunnel, numbers were limited.
