Comol5 installed the first TTI (tunnel technical installations) this week in the service building of the Corbulo tunnel in Leiden.
It will have impacts on 54 different installations that ensure a safe tunnel, like the lighting, emergency telephones, cameras and the fire alarm system. During these past two years these installations were tested and set up extensively at the test location in Eindhoven.
At the testing location which is in Eindhoven, the modules are set up for transportation and placement at the final location in the service buildings of the Corbulo tunnel. The modules are packaged to stop dust and waterproofed for transport.
In early days of May, the first few meters of 8 suggested escape passages across the two tunnels were bored. These tunnels are being constructed using freezing technology.
