The 12th International Symposium on Tunnel Safety and Security (ISTSS 2027) is inviting researchers, industry professionals and tunnel safety specialists to submit posters for its next event in Sweden.
ISTSS 2027 will take place from April 7–9, 2027, in Gothenburg, bringing together international experts to discuss the latest developments and challenges in tunnel safety and security.
ISTSS 2027 Poster Submission Deadline
Applications for poster presentations must be submitted as a two-page extended abstract through the official submission portal. The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2026.
Accepted poster abstracts will be published in the ISTSS 2027 symposium proceedings. A Best Poster Award will also be presented, recognising technical quality and the standard of poster presentation.
One author from each accepted poster will be eligible to register at a reduced fee as a “Speaker” delegate.
Special Poster Session at ISTSS 2027
ISTSS 2027 will feature a dedicated poster session, giving presenters an opportunity to showcase their research and engage directly with the symposium audience.
The session will begin with short presentations from the poster authors, followed by the poster exhibition and discussions with participants.
ISTSS 2027 Part of Safety Week
The International Symposium on Tunnel Safety and Security will form part of Safety Week, a major international event bringing together three conferences under one roof.
The programme will include:
- ISTSS 2027 – International Symposium on Tunnel Safety and Security
- FIVE – International Conference on Fires in Vehicles
- The Battery Safety Conference
Safety Week will bring together researchers, industry professionals, authorities and emergency responders to examine current safety challenges and technological developments across tunnels, vehicles and battery systems.
Registration and Super Early Bird Tickets
Registration for ISTSS 2027 in Gothenburg is now open. Super early bird tickets are available until October 8, providing an opportunity for delegates to secure reduced-rate registration ahead of the symposium.
Researchers and industry professionals interested in presenting their work on tunnel safety and security are encouraged to submit their poster abstracts before the December 15 deadline.
