Concluding a Successful Year on North East Link

Comprising of new designs published and the main contract granted for the state’s longest road tunnels, it was a massive year on North East Link.

These breakthroughs also involve: moving major gas, power and sewer lines out of the way of North East Link, delivering major sports upgrades at Ford and Binnak Parks, Veneto Club and Greensborough College in order to continuity of local sports clubs boosting as construction progresses.

Additionally, commencing the construction process of Melbourne’s first dedicated busway was in this year, while construction underway to build a brand new park and ride in Bulleen.

Our early tree planting program well and truly sprouted this year, with over than 1500 trees planted so far in local parks and streets, sports fields and in Yarra River Parklands.

Also North East Link intends to repair the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network, reduce travel times and prepare native roads for local trips.
