Denmark, North Jutland – dk/35

Calling enthusiasts to participate in a tender that has been announced for Danish Road Directorate (DRD) that is carrying out a market dialogue regarding the Third Limfjord Link. DRD aims to initiate a dialogue with potential suppliers about the procurement and construction of The Third Limfjord Link.

The Third Limfjord Link – a 20 km long four lane motorway –  is important to the overall infrastructure of the northern part of Denmark as it connects the E45 in the south to the E39 in the north towards Hirtshals

The motorway will run west of Aalborg and across the island of Egholm. The motorway crosses the southern branch of the Limfjord (Sønderdyb) in a tunnel and crosses the northern branch of the Limfjord (Nørredyb) on low bridges. In addition to the approx. 2 km long tunnel structure (ch. 108,265 – 110,270) below the southern branch of the Limfjord, the project includes approx. 18 km of motorway in open country

The tunnel structure consists of an immersed tunnel as the main tunnel, which is connected to the open tunnel ramps at each end via a cut-and-cover “transition tunnel” and associated technical buildings, tunnel basins, pumping stations and mechanical and electrical installations (M&E).

Potential suppliers, who wish to attend a dialogue meeting with DRD, must submit the filled-out questionnaire before 29/08/2025 to samy@vd.dk, with a copy to inbd@vd.dk  and cl2@vd.dk.

DRD will evaluate the answers from the potential suppliers and select four to six potential suppliers for dialogue meetings. Potential suppliers will – if invited for a dialogue meeting to be held  between 18th and 30th of September 2025 – receive the invitation between  1st of September and 15 th of September 2025.

The awarded contract budget is EUR468,91 million (DKK3.5 bn), excluding VAT.
