Package EC-04 covers the design and construction of twin running tunnels using shield TBMs, together with four underground stations, connecting subways and associated entrances and exits.
The open works tender was published on 25 September under Delhi Metro Phase V(A). Bids are due by 9 November 2026, with technical bids scheduled to open the following day. A pre-bid meeting is set for 7 October. The works are expected to take 1,260 days to complete.
The Central Vista Corridor is being developed as an extension of Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line and will run for 9.913km entirely underground, serving nine stations: Shivaji Stadium, Yuge Yugeen Bharat, Central Secretariat, Kartavya Bhawan, India Gate, War Memorial–High Court, Baroda House, Bharat Mandapam and Indraprastha.
Construction on the corridor has already started at Central Secretariat Station, which will become a three-line interchange connecting the new corridor with the existing Yellow and Violet lines.
DMRC said the route will improve access to central government offices, judicial institutions, national monuments and major convention facilities in the heart of New Delhi.
The procurement notice does not identify which four stations are included in EC-04 and does not state the tunnel length within the package.
