Bauma China to proceed as planned

It has been announced by the show organizer Messe München that Bauma China will take place as planned 24-27 November, 2020, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), China.

A host of construction equipment shows have been delayed this year due to the impact of Covid-19, but Messe München has mentioned that they expect more than 3,000 exhibitors at Bauma China.

Compared to many other countries around the world, China’s economy has recovered quicker from the impact of Covid-19, and the country’s GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is predicted to grow by 1% in 2020. This figure is much lower than in previous years, but most countries are expected to see their economies contract, some by double figures.

The growth rate of China’s construction machinery industry will reach 10% this year, according to Shanghai Securities Co.
The show organizers have repeated that the safety and health of visitors, exhibitors and partners will continue to be the top priority.

Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce have published the guidelines and notice of controlling and preventing the epidemic on organizing exhibition. In addition, Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Industries Association will be strictly followed during the show, the various prevention and controlling security measures will be impressively implemented to ensure the safety of the exhibition.

It is expected that more than 3,000 exhibitors present their products and services on an exhibition area of 300,000 square meters.
