Considering that the Delhi Metro has qualified for the pre-qualification tender process of the Bahrain Metro project, which will include the development of an almost 30km network with 20 stations, this company is due to offer expertise in the fields of project development and budgeting.
In order to supporting this project, Delhi Metro signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BEML, which includes collaboration of BEML in the manufacturing and supplying of rolling stock for the project.
In addition to providing expertise in the fields of project development and budgeting, Delhi Metro will also enable the development of contractual obligations for the project.
Also Delhi Metro’s previous project was the pre-bid process of Israel’s Tel Aviv Metro Project.
Furthermore, the Alexandria project in Egypt, as well as Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and Mauritius, are the subjected international metro projects that DMRC is looking to bid for them.
As a consultant, DMRC is currently involved in the Dhaka Metro in Bangladesh.
In order to advancing an indigenous communication-based train control system (i-CBTC), Bharat Electronics (Bel) concluded an MoU with DMRC in November 2022.
With intention of enabling unmanned operations of metro and trains, the responsibility of implementing Bahrain Metro project is up to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India.
