The Selected Bidders for Ontario Line are Ferrovial-Vinci Team

In order to construct the stations and tunnels for the southern section of a new rapid transit line in Toronto, a consortium led by Ferrovial Construction and Vinci Construction Grands Projets have been opted.

Connecting the Ontario Exhibition Place station in downtown Toronto to the Ontario Science Centre station, the design, build and finance contract of this line will be up to the Ontario Transit Group. Comprising of the construction of 6km of tunnels, and seven stations along the route, six of them underground, the estimated date for starting the construction process of the 6.7km-long Ontario Line South Civil is next year and will take seven years to complete.

As the largest railway project to date for Ferrovial Construction, the Ontario Transit Group includes:
