The Hampton Roads Bridge – Tunnel Expansion Project TBM Arrival Ceremony

HRCP (Hampton Roads Connector Partners) and Virginia Department of Transportation are going to celebrate the arrival of tunnel boring machine, Mary at The Port of Virginia Portsmouth Marine Terminal on the 14th December 2021.

Mary is 146 m (430 feet) long and 14 m (46 feet) in diameter and will excavate the new twin tunnels as part of the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) Expansion Project, which contains the widening of 16 km (10 miles) of the I-64.
