Eiffage – Razel-Bec, representative of the group of firms in charge of building this part of the tunnel, and the 15 South team of the Société du Grand Paris were met on the mezzanine of the structure to share this highlight.
They were able to witness on a screen the last revolutions of the 10-meter-diameter cutting wheel and the spectacular arrival of the TBM (tunnel boring machine) in the box of the structure.
Twelve to fifteen firms ensured for particularly two years operation of this spectacular 95 meters long and weighing over 1,500 tons TBM. A real daily technical challenge which became possible thanks to the continuous mobilization of teams in the field!
In the next phase, the machine will be disassembled piece by piece and its evacuation will start from the site in January 2022.
