TBM Laurence Breakthrough in Grand Paris Express

A landmark happens on Line 15 South of the Grand Paris Express due to arrival of TBM Laurence to its destination following Camille in July and Aby last month.

The Ile-de-Monsieur shaft in Sèvres was the starting location of TBM Laurence’s journey on 11 September 2021 and currently has reached to the Fort d’Issy -Vanves – Clamart station after 4.2 km boring and passing through two stations and three service structures. Extracting almost 323,400 m3 of muck, the intended TBM with 1,700 t weight, 9.87 m diameter and 109 m length, has crossed twice beneath the Seine.

In order to gradually finishing the tunnel among the ÃŽle-de-Monsieur (Sèvres) shaft and the Noisy – Champs station with 33km length, three other TBMs will soon complete their routes for Line 15 South of the Grand Paris Express.
