The future Oullins Centre station on the metro Line B extension in Saint-Genis-Laval in Lyon, is where the TBM Coline drives currently.
While there is only 400 m to its ultimate destination (Orsel pit), this TBM, that has been launched in November 2019, has driven 1,955 m and installed 1,104 rings. In the meantime, structural work continues on the Ouillins Centre station.
By opening the new section between Ouillins Centre and Saint-Genis-Laval – Hopitaux Sud, the gradual automation of Line B will enhance its capacity by 50% in 2023.
