DSI Underground SMART, which is a subsidiary of DSI Underground achieved the virtual reality training specialist Edvirt on 26 February 2021.The acquisition develops DSI Underground’s finance in innovation to enhance efficiency and safety across mining and tunneling operations forward.
According to Edvirt’s leading-edge virtual reality training technology, this company presents products and teaching courses to mining and tunneling customers worldwide. The basic office of this company bases in Gothenburg, Sweden, and provides ideal DSI Underground SMART’s growing portfolio of intelligent with digital solutions and services. While acting as a standalone company and serve its international customer, the Edvirt is going to expand new services for DSI Underground SMART.
Due to a concluded agreement with Sandvik about acquisition of DSI underground, currently DSI and Edvirt will become part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions. The predicted date for closing this contract is mid-2021, if the relevant regulatory has been approved.
