Network Rail Tenders £1.1bn Eastern Civils and Buildings Framework

Network Rail Civils Framework

Network Rail has asked firms to bid for a £1.1bn framework for reactive and small scheme works that cover its building and civil assets within the eastern region over five years.

The framework includes work associated with reactive call-outs, scheduled preventative maintenance works, and small projects for the period known as Control Period 7, from April 2024 to March 2029.

In a contract notice issued on 22 November, the infrastructure provider declared that the framework will be divided into four lots across the eastern region:

  • Lot 1 involves civil assets on the North, East, East Coast, and East Midlands routes.
  • Lot 2 concerns civil assets on the Anglia route.
  • Lot 3 involves building assets on the North, East, East Coast, and East Midlands routes.
  • Lot 4 concerns building assets on the Anglia route.

Work that could be provided under the framework incorporates geotechnical small project emerging works; maintenance of footbridges, under bridges, over bridges, tunnels, culverts; rock cuttings, soil cuttings, and earthworks first response; buildings on small scheme emerging works; and structures on small scheme emerging works covering structural integrity.

It is worth mentioning that the initial term of the framework is five years, with the chance to raise it for an additional two years.

Moreover, interested parties can submit their tenders or requests by 15 January 2024. Preferred candidates will receive formal invitations to tender or to participate in February 2024.
