On November 13th, TBM Coline finished a 1,000 drive from the “Saint-Genis-Laval – Hôpitaux Sud” station, advancing 10m daily. Consequently, the variable density TBM will move forward toward the Grand Revoyet shaft, expanding the Line B for the Lyon Metro B extension in Lyon.
Early in 2021, the TBM will hit the Oullins Centre station and follow tunnel-digging at the Orsel shaft afterward.
Despite the ongoing lockdown in France, tunnel workers will continue to work on the 7.7 kilometers long corridor, which will host ten stations. Her final station will be the Gare d’Oullins station, where it will be disassembled. Some parts will be sent back to the Saint-Genis-Laval shaft to be used for upcoming projects.
