In order to digging a 10m test tunnel in California, Plasma boring technology and development company EarthGrid is preparing.
Being located on the same site where EarthGrid’s Plasma Excavation System (PES) broke ground last summer in Sierra granite, this tunnel in hard granite will built using its tunnel boring robot (TBR), and is due to mark the beginning of a new era for underground infrastructure, as company says.
According to founder and CEO Troy Helming: “The test tunnel was the moment he had been waiting for since founding EarthGrid nine years ago.I’m deeply grateful for our investors’ confidence, their unwavering support, and their patience as we’ve worked toward making this vision real. The 10m test isn’t just a milestone – it’s proof that our plasma boring technology is ready to change the world.
