While proposing that the new code will replace the 2006 Tunnels under construction code of practice, SafeWork NSW is calling for feedback on its draft Health and safety risk management of tunnels and shafts in construction code of practice.
With the aim of better meet modern safety standards and new ways of working, this draft was developed after consultation with stakeholders. Providing information and guidance to make sure risks from tunnels and shafts in construction are managed according to current work health and safety laws, are the contents of this code.
In order to ensuring the code is relevant, easy to understand, and supports current and emerging work practices and technologies, SafeWork NSW is asking for feedback.
