Open tender has been announced for a HS2 Phase 2a Design and Delivery Partner. A design and delivery partner is wanted to oversee the next leg of the rail project. HS2 Ltd is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced organizations, with the capability of delivering a high profile and important professional services contract. The successful Tenderer (Consultant”) will manage the delivery of HS2 Phase 2a within budget and programme, including the management and co-ordination of the design and construction of Phase 2a works from contract award until the delivery of the Phase 2a works. The successful consultant will manage the delivery of HS2 Phase 2a within budget and programme, including the management and co-ordination of the design and construction of Phase 2a works from contract award until the completion. The 58 km (36-mile) phase 2a route, from the West Midlands to Crewe, will now be built earlier than originally planned at a cost of EUR5.26 bn (GBP4.5bn). This phase involves constructing two tunnels, 26 cuttings, 17 viaducts and 65 bridges.
The deadline is 23/07/2021 and the determined budget for this project is EUR584,81 million (GBP500 million), excluding VAT. Duration of the contract is from 31/08/2022 to 31/08/2032.
