Vast Geotechnical Baseline Reports which involve determination of fault lines, water inflows, squeezing ground, mixed face conditions, rock bursting and other geological challenges; can sometimes miss the exact location of these uncertainties during the earth excavation. This error mostly happens when tunnels are long, in distant locations, or under high cover.
Lok Home, President of The Robbins Company, is going to propound three of the noticeable challenging recent TBM projects, in his BTS lecture:
- The 43.5km long AMR water tunnel in India
- The geologically diverse Sleemanabad carrier canal also in India and
- The Yin Han Ji Wei water diversion project in challenging rock bursting conditions.
