Air hammer is started up for HDD by Inrock

The launching process of the new XTH Air Hammer for HDD applications, has been started by Inrock in cooperation with Sandvik.

The significant features of this new hammer are: high penetration rates and lower air consumption, using less fuel without sacrificing speed or power, and claimed to result in less production time, higher speeds, lower repair costs and fewer production failures.

Due to the new spiral piston at the heart of the design The risk for stress points and potential cracking is decreased. While the new guide sleeve is said to eliminate the need for a foot valve, thereby reducing the potential for failures and downtimes.

The accessible sizes of the XTH are 3.5in (76mm), 4in (102mm) and 5in (127mm).
