Linking Lot H21 Sill Gorge and Lot H41 Sill Gorge-Pfons, the first main breakthrough in Austria for the Brenner Base Tunnel took place, according to a LinkedIn post from Wolfgang Holzer from BBT.
The connection between the northern end of the Brenner Base Tunnel and the central station in Innsbruck is providing by Lot H21.
Construction of Lot H41, which is located in the northern area of the BBT between the Sill Gorge of Innsbruck in the north and Pfons in the south, is up to the H41 Sill Gorge-Pfons consortium comprising Implenia Österreich GmbH, Implenia Schweiz AG, Webuild, and CSC Construzioni.
Also the scheduled date for commissioning TBMs Wilma and Olga will be next week on Lot H53, as Marti Group has reported.
While TBM Olga is due to be used for building the East Tunnel towards Innsbruck on the Pfons-Brenner section of the BBT by Arge H53 BBT, a consortium of Porr and Marti, TBM Wilma is due to excavate the West Tunnel.
