Being started up ate previous June, EPB TBM Dallas has holed through on the 457.20 m (5100-foot) Cedar Creek tunnel, while it is part of the IPL Section 19 Long Tunnel Crossings project (PL19TUN) and the responsibility of its construction is now up to the Traylor and Sundt Construction joint venture team in Trinidad, Texas!
In order to commencing excavation process of the Hollywood Lake site the next 1,781.9 m (5,846-foot) tunnel, the team is now working on disassembling and relocating the TBM.
As a crucial piece of the 241.4 km (150-mile) Integrated Pipeline, this project includes five tunnels and is due to allow Tarrant Regional Water District and the City of Dallas Water Utilities to deliver 1.32 bn liters (350 million gallons) per day of raw water to the communities of North Central Texas.
