Eglinton Crosstown West Extension

The responsibility of designing, building and financing this project is up to West End Connectors, which is a consortium comprised of Aecon (40%), Dragados Canada Inc. (40%) and Ghella (20%) and was selected in 2021.

Following this major landmark, completion of tunneling on this scope of the project was marked, whereas both TBMs Rexy and Renny have reached their finish line.

As a 9.2-km extension of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit project, the ECWE project is due to stretch from the future Mount Dennis station to Renforth Drive.

While this system will have links to several local and regional transit services, including Union Pearson Express and Kitchener GO train lines, GO bus routes, and local TTC and Mississauga MiWay bus services, connection of ECWE to Toronto Pearson International Airport, is also being explored.
