Building 15 underground stations as well as 9 intermediate and/or terminal shafts, are the contents of this project.
In order to deliver technical assistance consultancy services for current and upcoming metro and tramway projects in Attica Region in Greece, Hill International has concluded a contract with Attiko Metro
While, Hill is going to perform this contract as part of an international consortium, it will offer consultancy services for the design, construction, and commissioning of the Athens Metro Line 4.
The section A, which’s value is $1.65bn (€1.5bn) and is located at Alsos Veikou – Goudi of Line 4, will extend 12.8 km while consisting of a tunnel that will link Line 4 with Lines 2 and 3 and is scheduled to be completed in 96 months.
An access tunnel will also be established that will connect to the train stabling and maintenance yard at Katehaki.
Moreover, participating in the ongoing Athens Metro Line 3 extension, section Haidari – Piraeus, will be Hill Consortium’s next operation.
Comprising of encompassing a 7.6km-long tunnel, six new stations, and seven ventilation inters hafts, construction work related to this project is advancing.
Once completed, the daily combined ridership for the Metro network is estimated to increase by 132,000 commuters, whereas the distance among Piraeus Port and Athens International Airport is going to be 55 minutes through the inauguration of this line.
The total of Line 3 Extension is projected to be launched in summer this year, with a cost of more than $803.85m (€730m).
According to Hill’s statement: “The Hill Consortium will participate in every activity (design, tendering, construction, testing, and commissioning) required in the framework of the technical scope of Attiko Metro projects under construction and new projects to verify their successful completion.”
