In order to advancing a project connecting Universal Orlando’s theme parks, following a Request for Qualifications for transport infrastructure improvements that support District priorities, such as the Sunshine Corridor, for Central Florida’s continued growth, the Shingle Creek Transit and Utility Community Development District Board from a shortlist of three chosed the Boring Company (TBC) as the preferred bidder.
An innovative, future-ready, point-to-point solution that is the the district’s request has been properly addressed by TBC’s proposal and it is now due to continue collaboration with local stakeholders and explore the operational and financial feasibility of TBC’s proposal.
While building the Music Loop in Nashville, TBC in its third blog on the project says it is preparing Prufrock-MB1 to begin tunneling.
“Prufrock-MB1 arrived onsite and was installed prior to December 1. Since then, the team has worked intensively to complete final preparations and Prufrock-MB1 is ready to begin tunneling,” the blog says.
The scheduled date for arrival of the second machine, Prufrock-MB2, in Nashville is March 2026 and work has also commenced on this machine.
In the previous week, Tennessee state senator Jack Johnson toured the Vegas Loop with TBC, whereas TBC says 32 of the 37 permits required to begin tunneling have been secured and the remaining five are under review.
