Linking Østerbro with Nordhavn, construction of the Nordhavn tunnel in Copenhagen currently is under bid among four contractors who have been chosen by Danish Road Directorate after a pre-qualification.
The four pre-qualified consortia are:
- Acciona Costruccion SA with support from CG Jensen A/S, Sweco Danmark A/S and Sweco Infra & Rail OY.
- NV Besix SA- MT Højgaard Danmark A /S joint venture with support from NIRAS A/S, Jacobs Sverige AB and Bravida Danmark A/S.
- Per Aarsleff A / S- Vinci Construction Grands Projets- Hochtief Infrastructure Gmbh Joint Venture with support from Cowi A/S and Wicotec Kirkebjerg A/S.
- Zublin A/S- MJ Eriksson Joint Venture with support from Strabag SE, Ed. Zublin AG, Zublin Spezialtiefbau GmbH, Zublin Scandinavia AB and Strabag Infrastructure & Safety Solutions GmbH.
The deadline for submitting an initial offer for pre-qualified participants is no later than 24 June 2022. Following this, the Danish Road Directorate can opt to conclude a construction contract based on the initial offers or choose to commence negotiation meetings with the contractors if the received offers do not cover expectations on price and quality.
Summer 2022 is the estimated date for the agreement if the contract is signed according to the initial offer, otherwise if there is a discussion process, it is planned that an agreement can be entered into in early 2023.
The expected time of the inauguration of the Nordhavn tunnel is due to be 2027.
