The ‘Meet the Contractor’ is due to be hosted by High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd. This biggest event is an exceptional opportunity for businesses from across the UK to register and attend the online event, and snap up the opportunity to participate in one-to-one meetings with HS2’s contractors.
Novel presentations of HS2 for 2021 are going to be meetings with Tier 2 contractors, providing even more opportunities for businesses to get involved in the project. Hence the possibility of involving in some of the smaller packages will be provided due to discussing them and making the event even more accessible for SMEs and win work. By bidding on more than 250 packages of work, which’s determined budgets are between £4,000 and £158million, sixteen subcontractors will be taking part in the event.
The event is planned to be separated into two weeks of interactive webinars, one week focusing on contracts for the construction of HS2 stations and the other Main Works Civils. All seven of the directly appointed joint venture contractors will be participating. The determined date for stations week will be 15th – 17th November, while Main Works Civils is due to be held on 29th November – 1st December.
Keynote sessions where attendees can hear more about the project, what is on offer, and how to bid for work, will be the subsets of this event. Moreover, a number of networking break-out sessions where up to 50 participants can network virtually, meeting other companies interested in working on HS2 and speaking as a group with HS2’s contractors, will be the other parts of the event.
The enthusiastic businesses are called to register their interest to attend seminars and apply for one-to-one meetings, which has now opened. Companies interested can register by visiting the HS2 website.
