For progressing the design and construction of the Palsiguan Dam, including tunnels, a tender has been commissioned by the Philippines’ National Irrigation Administration.
The design and construction of a 126.41m-high earthfill dam, a 52m-high concrete dam, a 680m-long headrace tunnel as well as an 8.12km-long tailrace tunnel to divert water from Abra to Ilocos Norte are the contents of this tender for the proposed project across the Palsiguan River in Abra. Both tunnels are due to havehave an inner diameter of 3.6m and the determined time duration for this contract is six years.
To be eligible for the bid, the contractor must be a Filipino citizen or 60% Filipino-owned corporation, or a joint venture or consortium with at least a 75% Filipino ownership or interest.
The scheduled date for a pre-bid conference is November 4, whereas the deadline for bids is December 3.
