Following that the shield TBM for the Songxian Second Sewage Relocation East Line Pipeline project has passed its Factory Acceptance Test, in the previous week a roll-off ceremony at Tangxing Technology’s Trenchless Equipment Industrial Park was attended by industry leaders and guests.
With a 3.82m diameter and 65m length, Hucheng No. 1 is due to undertake the shield stage excavation of the project.
The project has a total length of 2.23km, primarily through composite strata including hard rock, fractured ground and clay.
Also several key technological systems for Hucheng No. 1 has been designed by Tangxing’s R&D team to meet the project’s demand, that includes the gate-type trolley to improve the TBM’s stability and flexibility; a slurry circulation system to optimise the slurry separation and slag discharge; a multi-mode cooling system to ensure the safe operation of equipment during high loads; a multi-joint segment lifting system to enhance transport efficiency and safety; and an intelligent monitoring and control system to improve operational precision.
