The request to use a 320 million Euro loan for the construction of the Dikimevi-Natoyolu metro line, which will be integrated into the ANKARAY line that runs between ATK and Dikimevi, was approved by the Council of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB).
Fatih Ünal, the Assembly’s Deputy Chairman, presided over the first session of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality December Ordinary Assembly Meeting.
The loan that was requested to be used in the construction of the Dikimevi Natoyolu Metro project was approved by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB). Only the 8-kilometer metro construction will be funded by a loan of 6.3 million Euros or 320 billion Liras.
ABB AK Party Deputy Chairman Murat Köse, in his oration at the community, the Mayor of Mamak responded to the ABB administration and media associations that made his discernment against the metro being constructed in Mamak. “Some media organizations cut our words on the subject and wanted to create a perception as if the Mayor of Mamak was against the metro to be built in Mamak,” Mayor Murat Köse stated, claiming that his words were distorted.
Defending that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş is abusing the crisis and cruelty, Köse said: ” Every loan request that has come to the parliament since 2019 has been approved. We declare that we always support a solution and projects for our people. We would not have made decisions here with a 97 percent agreement if it weren’t for this. The pool media just made it foamy and made numerous false claims about us. We have always said “yes” to all borrowings, regardless of the subject. Also here, we agree.”
The finance to be used for the development of the metro in the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality was unanimously accepted.
