The Consortium formulated of Webuild Group (leader-70%) and Pizzarotti (30%) has won the EUR1.08 bn contract, safety costs contained, for the design and build of Lot2 Hirpinia-Orsara section (km 40+889.793 – km 68+953.375) of the Naples to Bari highspeed railway line.

The advanced Orsara-Hirpinia section is going to be approximately 28 km long and run mostly in a tunnel for around 27 km. The speed at which the trains will be able to reach along the new line is 250 km per hour apart from when they are at the open extremities where they will reach 200 km per hour.
