Hanoi Metro Project – TBM Flash breaks through

Following that TBM Thần Tốc (Flash) has broken through at Station S11 on Hanoi’s Pilot Light Metro Line 3 o July 28, it marks 80% completion of excavation. This Herrenknecht EPB TBM with 6.6m diameter and 100m length is one of two building the twin tunnels.

As the first underground metro line in Vietnam’s capital, the Pilot Light Metro Line 3 extends 12.5km, linking Nhon, located in the Tay Tuu neighborhood of Nam Tu Liem district, in western Hanoi, to Hanoi Station.

Including 8.5km of elevated tracks and 4km of underground tunnels, this line covers construction of four underground stations: Kim Ma Station, Cat Linh Station, Van Mieu Station, and Hanoi Station.
