BBT – Starting up the Wilma and Olga TBMs

The BBT H53 Pfons-Brenner construction site on Wednesday 18th  September 2024 will host launch of the Wilma and Olga TBMs.

Following testing at the Herrenknecht factory in Schwanau, the first components of the two TBMs reached the Austrian construction site H53 Pfons-Brenner during April. Currentl they are almost ready to go as the have been assembled. While driving the west line tunnel heading north will be up to Wilma, her twin sister Olga is due to travel through the east line tunnel in the same direction.
