The contract which is for building of a new wastewater tunnel in Stockholm and values SEK898m (£68m) and includes construction of a 4km wastewater tunnel and access tunnel, was awarded to Viedekke. In order to advancing the blast and drill process in two directions for wastewater tunnel, the access tunnel is due to be built at Kontrollvägen in northern Solberga.
The scheduled date for commencing construction is December and the tunnel is slated to be operational in 2030.
Relieving the city’s wastewater system, Mässtunneln was launched by Stockholm Water and will enable more residential construction and reduce flood risk.
