On behalf of Amplia, Trevi is implementing the work for the third lane on the Florence South to Incisa section of the A1 route. This critical route links Milan with Naples and the improvement work is mandated to increase capacity.
The most noteworthy part of the work is the implementation of the bored piles for the entrances’ portals construction to the new San Donato tunnel and the slope-supporting bulkheads, all with a diameter of 1,200mm and depths ranging from 22-30m.
Further works contain plastic secant piles with a diameter of 920mm and a depth of about 18m and tie-rods for around 44,000m as well.
To conduct the work, Trevi is utilizing a fleet of Soilmec equipment comprising an SR-35, an SR-45, an SR-75, an SR-100 and an SM-21 for tie-rods. The machines have been verifying both reliability and productivity for the work, while also providing the required quality.
