Pape Tunnel and underground stations and the elevated guideway and stations contracts, these are the issued Requests for Proposals for two major works packages for the Ontario Line by Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Metrolinx.
The shortlist includes six teams that are invited to bid on the packages, which are being delivered using a progressive design-build delivery model. Shortlisted teams were selected following the Request for Qualifications process that began in November 2022, which included a requirement for design and construction experience.
The teams invited to respond to the RFPs for the Pape Tunnel and underground stations are:

Including the details of how they are going to deliver the projects, the teams will submit proposals and the presented proposals are due to be evaluated by IO and Metrolinx and the top-ranked team for each project will work with Metrolinx during a development phase, expected to commence in 2024. Following completion of the development phase, Metrolinx is slated to have the option to sign a contract with the successful team.
Linking the Ontario Science Centre and Exhibition/Ontario Place, with 15 stations along the route, the Ontario Line will be a 15.6km new rapid transit line in Toronto. Additionally, over than 40 connections to other subway, bus, streetcar, light-rail transit and regional rail services, will be provided by this new line.
The Ontario Line project is being delivered through various Public-Private-Partnership (P3), progressive design-build and traditional procurement contracts.
