Transport for London (TfL) Has Issued the Contract Notice for the First Stage of the Elephant & Castle Station Upgrade

Involving early enabling and civils construction and fit out/bringing into use, this project is due to be delivered in two stages.

In order to delivering Stage 1, TfL is seeking to appoint a single supplier, while the design and construction of new connecting passenger tunnels between the new station box as well as the existing London Underground Station are the contents of this stage, and the associated enabling works; and the design and construction of sections of the new station box temporarily omitted to facilitate the Tunnelling Works.

The contract also comprises additional options which are the design and delivery of localized premises and MEP works to implement the temporary condition at the interface among the new tunnels and the existing station.
