The 2.845m-Ø CREG slurry TBM commenced operation at Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China in November 2021.
The intended TBM reached a breakthrough under dense commercial developments and high-rise residential buildings, while it tackled the unfavorable silt with silty sand and muddy silty-clay ground conditions.
Driving beneath metro Line 1 with a minimum halt of 6.6m, very good performance, the significant advance of 23 rings per day and remarkable monthly development of 399 rings, whereas the whole of these activities faced no main defects during its 1,051m journey, were the achievements of this machine. The TBM is due to be re-launched for the next section of the project and will further progress the construction of the city’s sewerage pipeline.
