On March 2023 with the cooperation of the TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers Istanbul Branch and the Department of Rail Systems of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul will host UYAK2023, the 5th International Underground Excavations Symposium, and Exhibition.
Cities of the Future, Urban Tunneling, and Underground Excavations, will be the focus theme of this event.
Additionally, the International Underground Excavations Symposium, initiated by the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Mining Engineers of TMMOB is run in conjunction with the commencing of the Istanbul Metro construction excavations, whereas the symposium has been held four times in 1994, 2007, 2013, and 2018 in parallel with the developments in metro and tunnel excavations.
The determined deadline for filling out the Abstract Submission, that should be a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 2 pages, in 12-point Times News Roman (doc, docx, or pdf) format, adequately explaining the study and results is October 1, 2022, while acceptance of abstracts is due to commence on August 1, 2022.
