Lower Meramec Phase 2 Tunnel - Robbins Main Beam TBM

The probe drilling with 360-degree orientation, high-performance drive motors as well as 192 tons of machine, are the features of a small 3.35 m diameter Robbins Main Beam TBM for the Lower Meramec Phase 2 tunnel. At the moment, the robust Main Beam is excavating its 10.1 km long tunnel in shale and limestone for contractor SAK Construction. The completed tunnel, which is located in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, will convey sanitary flow from the Fenton Wastewater Treatment Facility to the Lower Meramec Wastewater Treatment facility at the junction of the Mississippi and Meramec Rivers.
